rc extraction ict

I have few questions about RC extraction

What is the difference between hierarchical and flat wireload model? I've read about the difference in socUG, but I need a better explaination.

Is generating capacitance table important?

whoever if the ict file is not provided from the technology provider, who can you create one? from where do you get the required information, is LEF file contain this info.?

For accurate results we need cap table because basic cap table doesn't have all the cap values like fringe cap edge cap and so on.....

We can't create ICT file we can just convert ICT file to tch file or tch file to ict file there is one procedure.....

LEF contains but not much...

Thank you very much for your replay.

I have another question what is "tch" file? is this a standard file extension? I couldn't find it with the std. cells library files nor the PDK files.

However, what is the tools you use for this conversion?

rc encounter

tch file is a binary format and ict file is a ascii format....
