please tell me what x stands for and its role in the expression like this:
"0001" when A = x"2D" else

x stands for hex, which means,
"0001" when A = x"2D" else
is equal to
"0001" when A = "00101101" else

VHDL question

X stand for Hex code 1, 2, .....,9, A, B, C,D, E, F etc.
