can anyone pls explain how a webcam works. can it be used for robotic application or security. if yes please upload any schematics, links and explanation.

how webcam works

thanks for the information. its really a nice one

is it possible for me to interface it with a micro and store the images on a MMC, compact flash or other type of storage. i mean just to make it a standalone without a PC

Can anyone provide more information on this?

Since i want to use a webcam and interface with 8051 microcontroller in my robot.

The purpose of the robot is to follow some objects.

Can anyone leave some information for me as a reference?
