i have now the result of my audio digital transmision over the WAN and LAN.
on WAN, it uses fiber optic.
and on LAN uses common wires for LAN (UTP)
this is a one way audio transmision..
i record the sender audio and also the receiver audio by using the Window recorder..
now the problem is, how would i compare the result..
or maybe my question would be, is there a software use to compare this samples??
i did try use GoldWave, and uses its sperctrom function,
but im new to goldwave and im not also sure if it would do the comparision.....
the comparison would be obviosly, the diference betwen the reciever and the sender...
hoping for a respones..thanks...
or maybe a book for it...

In which format u hv saved the audio files?

MATLAB simulink can do that

I had never used Goldwave, but I'll try to
uhmm...ok on matlab??
have you tried it??
i was thinking of a program that is capable og comparing the two signal i have(two or more signal)
maybe a software that would give a result on how close my signal from the other....

uhmm.....as i said a window recorder..therefore a wav file (PCM)

save the one file as mono. save another file also as mono. Then use3 them as stereo. U can easily use any audio editor to see difference in level. u can listen them as u want. Decide then which is better.

i think its not that easy.
this is my theasis work, and to have a realiable data, i mean on comparision, i should have a exact way to compare it,
im thinking of a software that would compare how close the data from other...
please help me..
thanks

In audio editor u get spectrum analyses of both the channels separately. . What more u want for comparison. I think u hv not used any of the audio editors.

Here is a good reference, be patient to read this site, packed with very useful infos for you.

I'll upload my spectral analysis code in MATLAB as soon as I find it in my files
(I need a darn clean up on my files in my disk)
ok thns...ill wait and also read the site

try audacity
uhmmm..thanks...but not enough
is there no software like use in CSI movie??
that would compare the audio by percentage?
:D

best way is import both files in to matlab and do what ever comparison you want there as it is simple and has lot of library's on signal processing and you can try automating by writing a single m file do all operations, audio editors are simple but it is not meant for signal processing it meant for enhancement only.

ahh ok ...thanks for the advise..
uhmmm...dont have the time to make an M-file,, can i ask if there is one already>>??
thanks

no Leoren :(, i dont have any. you have to build your own to suit your requirement, first import both files to your matlab convert it to standard format(matrix) then play around with the signal analyzing functions with the martix's you can easily find examples for various part of the m file from WEB.

uhmm...thx for the tip.. i better find software...
to save time.

Hi. I presume you are looking for anomalies in amplitude and/or phase, frequencies, That can be easily settled if you have them in a standard signal format i.e. the amplitude at time format.
Just apply a standard Fourier Transform. That would give you the aberrations in signal magnitudes at exactly matched frequencies. Then you can differentiate in time or just obtain arithmetic difference in frequency. Obtain the inverse Fourier.
