I would like to know the part number of a 8 pin PIC controller new or very popular, with at least 4 GPIO and EEPROM.

I have searched on the internet, found several of them, but I don't know which one is popular or new

If the PIC does not use external xtal will be a plus.

Thx.

Re: 8 pin PIC

I think, PIC12F629

Cheap, Easily available, 6 GPIO, 128 Bytes EEPROM and Internal Osc.

Search www.microchip.com for PIC10 and PIC12 families.
