waveguide slot antenna

Can anyone check if my slot antenna is working or not?
In fact this is a part of a microwave oven.
As soon as I succeed to tranfer energy from the slots, I will direct them into the oven.
the reason why it seems is not working is that I can not see any electrial field out of slots.
It will be great appreciated if someone help me and of course give as many as reps to the helpers.

Regards

Can anyone test it and tell me if it is working or not?
This is my master thesis and i really need help.

Hi,
if this is an antenna there are two things missing in the model, first is the rad BC that is required to analyze an antenna.
the second thing is to define a far field pattern.

after doing these things there is a radiation pattern in the far field please check it. but the pattern is strange please check it (it is a butterfly wings directed in the direction of the z-, the two maximums are about 30 Deg away from it).

your file is not HFSS 10, so it will not work if I post the modified file.

regards,

dear nael,

your suggestions are very helpful.Thx a lot.

Can you sent me the modified file in HFSS 10? we will investigate it with my teacher at university. He has version 10.

I will let you know if i will be able to work the antenna.

Regards

Hi,

please see the inculded file, hoping it will be useful.

regards,

I was not able to open your file, so I could not investigate it.
Can you make the file compatible with HFSS 9.1?so I can easyly investigate it.
Anyway, here is attached my revised projects.
It seems working now, but it should be more effective.
An importatnt percent of incoming power reflects back :)
How can I make it more effective?
Can you give me idea?

Regards

hi,

"Can you make the file compatible with HFSS 9.1?" sorry I have no idea if this is doable, but there is no thing in the help of the HFSS.

"An importatnt percent of incoming power reflects back ", according to result the s11 is -15 dB at the 2.45 GHz, there is a very little reflectd power. to modify it try change the dimention of the wave guide a,b.

"more effective" how much more? what is the parameter indicates you to conculde you have less.

Dear nael,

I was able to make it more efficient by changing the parameters.
Thank you very much for your help.

If you investigate the waveguide and cavity seperately (one by one);
Now I have a efficient waveguide with -30 dB s1.
and my cavity itself has resonant dimensions at 2.45 GHZ.
They ar eboth working good themselves.

When I connect them it seems they dont work.s1 becomes 0.
This is my problem.

I think I can overcome this problem by two ideas:
1-)To put a materail inside the cavity that is able to absorb power (like a potatoe)
But i dont know the permittivity, permeability of it.
2-)The best mode that works with my system is TE 564.
I dont know how to tell HFSS to excite the waveguide by this mode.

can you help me about these two topics?

hi anyone have the simulation files for array of slot on a rectangular waveguide?

hi,

which type of slots Longitudingal or Transverse or inclined?

i have simulated a waveguide with 1 or 2 longitudinal slots/ Transverse slots, but inclined not tried.

Simulations used Empire-3D and HFSS tool.

if you are looking for this, i can send you......

why edaboard is not helping?

why, no one is helping me?kindly if any one having waveguide slotted antenna simulation file in HFSS,forward it to me?i'm in great need.
thanks
