mixer ...?

hello
what is the definition of port isolation in mixer to measure ..?
how to measure port isolation in mixers on spectre ..?
please, tell me which analysis you used to do so ..?
thanks in advance ,

Re: mixer ...?

i donot know how to measure in cadence
but port isolation , is the port to port feed through
but it means how the mixer wil attenuate the signals

it means u measyre the power of the RF , in IF port , and also meaure the power of LO in the IF port
and measure the power of LO in the RF port

these are the parametrs u may measure ,
i am using ADS , and i use HB simulation to measure these , u may use PSS , as far as i know

good luck

khouly

HI
use harmonic balance analysis (HB).
connect RF with specific amp or power and measure IF signal in output.
RF to IF isolation = IF/RF

Re: mixer ...?

You can use pss with pxf to find port-to port isolation.

You specify the output nodes and place ac sources at all othe ports. Using pxf you can find the gain from all the pac sources in the circuit to the output you specified

Re: mixer ...?

what range of frequencies should i specify in pxf ....to see LO, RF feedthrough ..?
IF range "which i specify when i see conversion gain"...?
or RF range ...? or LO ...range ?
please, very urgent answer required..
