Need help connecting 12v relay to PIC

connect relay to pic

Could someone please give me an simple schemtic for how to connect a 12v relay to a pic? I have both 5v and 12v supply.

Take a look at the picture below ..
In your case this will be obviously 12V - in fact this circuit can be used in a wide range of voltages and the limit is set by the voltage rating of the NPN transistor ..
