hi..
i'll be doing my final year project on character recognition using neural network.. but i've no background in neural network n still in the beginning stage of learning neural network.. it will be really helpful, if anyone could suggest me which programming language will be the best? im considering java and visual c++..

n is it possible to use c++ codings in visual c++? is it the same?

Another way you can consider is MATLAB. It's simple for you to do image enhancement and recognition. Neural network can be written in C++ and the code in C++ is quite similar in VC++. VC++ has user-friendly GUI.
