Hello,

I connected my samsung LCD TV to laptop by HDMI cable. Audio and graphical display ware working last time. But now i am connecting, no sound on TV.
I have checked all related settings like 'Sound > Playback' & checked 'Show disabled devices' in 'Control Panel'. But nothing is here related to my TV.

?????????

* Look closely at every brass contact surface. Did any of them become bent so it no longer makes contact? I found one like that on my 'bargain' HDMI cable.

* Do you have something plugged into your laptop's headphone jacks? That might turn off the HDMI sound.

* My laptop has 2 headphone jacks. One only works with headphones, the other only with my digital tv. From what I can see, the computer remembers volume settings for each device. Each is independent from each other and the built-in laptop speakers. I don't know how the laptop keeps it all sorted out.

* Every so often my laptop refuses to output audio. Then it becomes necessary for me to restart. Or if that doesn't solve it, I power down and start fresh.

* Look at settings in your Sound control panel. Windows sometimes loses my settings for no apparent reason.

Hi,

Maybe you find the "audio over HDMI" setting in the video/graphic setup rather than in the audio setup.

You can check this: when your HDMI picture is working....is there any sound output on other audio outputs?
Usually, but not always - they should be OFF.

It was working last day, and nobody changed anything in laptop settings.

Is my HDMI cable defected?
Any setting comes in TV related to this?

had the same issue before, what i did was:

• Control Panel, Sound, Manage Audio Devices
• The Sound box will pop up.
• On the payback tab you should see two icons. One for your laptop speakers, one for the external monitor/TV.
• Double click on the Laptop speakers, then click "Set Default" button on the bottom.
• The Laptop Speakers will be "Checked".
• Select OK and exit.
