Hi, I am looking for the best book to learn Electronic Circuit Design (Analog and Digital).

I am looking for a book that describes how to use circuit components to design circuits.

I am looking for a book that describes the purposes and when to use the individual circuit components (R, C, diodes, inductors, transistors, etc...).

Thanks so much!

I've heard a bit about "The art of electronics." Does it expect you have electronics background already or could a beginner in electronics start with this book?

Thanks!

I think that the book is for both users, beginners and advanced. You can check details about the book from its official web page **broken link removed**

One of the authors Winfield Hill confirmed to me on this forum that a new edition will be out soon so I will wait a bit if I am you. It is supposedly updated with lots of modern material.

Sedra/Smith, Microelectronic Circuits has good explanation and problems on all topics of electronics - also good for sophomores!
