horz trace on tektronix 465b

:| i was given a tek 465b scope.everything seems to work except; the trace will not go across the screen,stays on the left of the tube.with r/l pot full clockwise.not shure where to look,have never worked on a scope before.any suggestions?? thanks in advance fellows

Check horizontal deflection circuit, if it is CRT type.
