Hello every body,
I am using Holux M-8929 GPS for receiving the Longitude and latitude from it's GPS string. But i am not getting any value of longitude and latitude. and i am not able to figure it out why.
For example, this is the GPGGA String format.

$GPGGA,001038.00,3334.2313457,N,11211.0576940,W,2,04,5.4,354.682,M,-26.574,M,7.0,0138*79

And what I am getting is something like this.

$GPGGA,198456.36,,,,,0,0,,,M,,M,

Can any body help me why i am not getting the Longitude and Latitude Values ???

It seems you have not connected desired Antenna so it's giving value like this You have to use some good GAIN antenna

I have attached the antenna to the GPS which was provided my the manufacturer, So i don't think its because of an antenna. Or, their might be a possibility that antenna is faulty. How can i check this ????

Look I also used one GPS module brought from Cooking Hacks i was having the same problem even I have attached the antenna as the same mentioned in their tutorial and antenna was also the same which i was using but values were coming like that only
when i changed the antenna I got correct string
in all format like GPGGA or GPRMC
OR
one thing you make check place the antenna in the open Sky and cover your GPS Module in a box

I had this problem. Try to let the tip of the antenna pointed at the sky and wait about 20 minutes.

Ya TIAGO Ribeiro is right wait for some time also to get the correct value

Can you get list of satellites and their signal strength that are seen by the device?
Then you could check if the antenna works if it used outside.
