Hi,

Can anyone explain what is the indication of the ka factor of an antenna. I usually read sentences in literature 'For antenna ka>> 1.......'

So I am wondering what is the indication of the 'ka' factor of an antenna.

Tks.

That was a good question shmily,

Looks to me that is a factor used to define if an antenna can be considered electrically small or not, Ka<1 makes an antenna electrically small..!! The second page of the following link gives simple explanation of both parameters,

https://www.mhprofessional.com/downloads/products/0071625534/0071625534_chap01.pdf

and the tenth chapter of Balanis Modern antenna Handbook gives few relations for ka factor to antenna performance parameters..!!

Regards..!!

Very helpful!!Thanks sooooooooooooooooooo much.
