Hi all,

After P&R a digital design with Encounter, 0 Geometry violations and 2 Connectivity errors were obtained.
These 2 connectivity errors are as follows:

Net vdd3r1!: no routing
Net vdd3r2!: no routing

2 Problem(s) (ENCVFC-98): Net has no global routing and no special routing.

After running the globalNetConnect commands, all of these nets seemed to be routed successfully.
However, with Verify Connectivity these 2 errors are being obtained. I'm finding this strange since all of the other vdd3r1! and vdd3r2! nets
are shown to be routed properly, and are not giving any connectivity errors.

Thanks in advance for your suggestions!

globalNetConnect doesn't actually route, does it? It just sets the connectivity. You then need to run sroute to do the actual routing.

Yes you're right jbeniston! I wanted to say sroute not globalNetConnect. The globalNetConnect just sets the connectivity, and the sroute then routes the signal.

However, after running sroute all of the vdd3r1! and vdd3r2! seem to be routed properly, but then the Verify Connectivity gives and error that 2 of these are not routed.
Do you please have any suggestions on how this problem can be solved?

Thanks

is it connected to any macro.pins?
I means the vdd3r1! and vdd3r2! are only connected to the std cells and the ring around the std cell?

It seems that the errors being given are from a bug in the tools.

Thanks the same for your replies.
