question about transformer frequency

Hi everyone!

my question is : why some transformers don't work on the frequency < 100Hz ?

can someone help me with a source ?
 

Which particular transformer you have in mind ?

This depends from transformers core composition and properties. We have everyday transformers on 50Hz in US 60Hz.
