Hi,

i want to design a simple current to voltage converter to take feedback of 1 phase ac motor current. Is there any basic idea and components that can help me to construct a I to V converter? Please assist me..i am using plc in project.

The basic idea is to put the current through a resistor to get linear I-V converter. Without knowing your input signal specs and what kind of output you want implementation can vary.

i am having motor current at input side which works on 0-4.2 A .and i have to give to PLC 0-5 V.i can have current transformer...

Have a look here: **broken link removed**

You can pick a sense voltage and then use such a current sense amplifier to sense the current, amplify and give the voltage to your PLC.
