Could be a zener but a higher power one :)
In this package and with thicker terminals, can be also a PIN diode used for switching RF path in power amplifiers.
Also, if you bought from AliBaba, could be a empty package. I recently bought some integrated circuits "brand new old stock" from...
This is a difficult task and even OrCAD has troubles. Since they are binary files, repos like Git or SVN (we both use them) aren't fully useful.
For schematic, you can always (and this is the best option) break your design in multiple pages.
If your files are on Git for example, you even don't...
Well, at least this kind of feature is quite easily (as concept) in Altium.
1. Create 2D footprint with your LED.
Use A and K as pad designators and blank for pads that are used only for mechanical purposes.
You also can tie them to one existing pins (eg. A or K) if you like, for better...
Altium 16, favorite VIA button is missing :bang:
In Altium 15, there was a button next to Favorite Interactive Routing Width for VIAs, now is gone.
Should I pay more for this f* button, this is some extra feature???
Moreover, Altium 16 PCB with polygon pours is horrible slow, exact the same...
We want just a cheaper solution than NTC plus fuse.
This is the problem :) The 2.5W resistor we use just blows immediately.
Initially, I estimate the power based on inrush energy for charging capacitor ~ 0.57 Joules. Compared to equivalent energy deduced from resistor graph (power vs. time...
The normal current is low, about 10mA. I want a fused resistor since is much cheaper, it will current limit and both fuse the protected device.
The only problem is to determine it's required power properly.
Hello,
The fuse resistors are rated by "fuse power". How to translate this in real world, protecting a PSU by limiting inrush current?
So far, my assumption is (10uF)
Rlim = Vpeak/Iinrush = 240*sqrt(2)/38A = 10R
But how to compute required power of resistor?
Another great stupidity by Altium :)
I have a 3D body for a LCD module (oh.. I had actually) that was inserted only as free 3D, not a schematic or PCB component.
I just wanted to see how will fits in some PCB cutout. But trying to export the whole project as step for a colleague, I set the "3D...
I installed software in XP virtual machine and the same results... "Please confirm that ConceptHDL software is installed on your machine."
If I try to open a folder containing schematic, the error is:
Error in ConceptHDL SCH Reader COM-object:
The remote procedure call failed.
Perhaps should I...
I have a schematic which needs to be converted from Concept HDL to something usable, OrCAD perhaps.
I found a old version (2004) of a program, E-Studio Pro but I cannot open any of HDL schematics. The error is:
chdlread: Starting reading from Concept HDL
Error: Caeviews exited with code 2...
It's possible to force some designators to be fixed, regarding all kind of annotate?
We have some resistor networks that can be swapped in PCB (due to better routing) so R4A can be swappe in schematic with R5C. Now, the PCB netlist will be updated but if ant annotate in schematic, the optimised...
Ok, thanks for tip, I tested today and it's quite nice. But only uniform cutout in all directions :( And now I wave a very ugly large border in 2D design mode. I still have a nice unknown piece of cooper on right, but I presume for 20H rule it's nice.
Hoping that Altium guys will correct this...
Thanks for reply,
I think this is a major mistake in Altium. If it's possible to have multiple planes on the same layer with very nice designed "draw line to split" feature, why plane's chunks are draw if tied to "no net". In OrCAD, such simple featured were implemented 10 years ago. If a...
