How to fix my ICD2?
Hi all!
I was playing around in linux today and tried out piklab. I did not get a working connection to my ICD2 (clone) but I think I may have interrupted something important bacause I went back to windows and I am not able to connect to it again.
I have just installed...
I have tried, but I have not found any webshop that have this connector.
Does anyone know where I can get this?

It does seem to be a 18V transformator used. If you look in the picture the secondary winding is marked 9 - 0 - 9. I would read that as a 18V output with a center wire, wouldent you?
I know a 7812 or 7912 alone would need minimum 15 volt too operate as they should.
When the bridge rectifier is...
dual voltage 7812 7912
HERE's a schema for a +/- 12 volt power supply. What I don't unserstand is the input voltage to the regulators.
Does the input voltage to the regulators become 9 or 18 volt, and why?
To me it seems that the voltage will become 9. But then the regulator would not work...
The EEPROM write is just for debugging, and is only filled once every time the chip is being reset.
I see now in the datasheet that it takes typicaly 4ms for one EEPROM write, that is WAY more than I thought.. Thank you :!:
I'm now going to make some chamges to my program and get back with the...
Just for fun I'm trying to make a digital RPM meter for my car. But I'm not able to get exact readings.
I have measured with an oscilloscope that there should be ~0,06802721 sec (14,7Hz) between the pulses when my engine is idling. "TMR_count" in my source code should be 66 then. But I'm getting...
stepper motor overheating
I'm trying to use a stepper motor for my first time. I have managed to get it spinning using a 16f84a.
But it is getting quite hot, is that normal?
And what is the correct way to apply hold torque?
18f4550 oscillator
Trying to understand the oscillator setting in a PIC18F4550.
Is it correct that if I use a 20MHz oscillator, I can make the microcontroller run as if I used a 48MHz oscillator?
I got this from the datasheet on page 32.

I've just started on my project again. I think I have managed to reproduce your program in PIC language.
But how did you get a stable 1 when there is no signal from transmitter?
Thanks for helping!
I rewired my ICSP connection on tried again. Now I get the first 64 lines of code and the configuration bits reads as 0FF5 (Code protected).
Is there no way around this? Why do I get the first 64 lines if it is protected?
Is it very important that the capacitors around the max232 chip is at 1uF 16v?
I have some at 10uF 16v & 1uF 50v. Which of one would be the best to use?
mosfet transistors
Thanks! But I can't find it... Could any one please see if there are any replacement on futurlec.com?
EDIT: Is it safe to use this as a replacement https://www.futurlec.com/Transistors/2SC5149.shtml
