good quality usb oscilloscope
Glad to be of any help (even if unintentionally).
We use analog entry-level Tek scopes @work (don't know the exact type but I gather they're ~$3k new) and a team mate of mine told me they have a 200mV thermal drift. Thing is we (I) use them as digital scopes and we...
quality of the usb oscilloscope
100$ for a 100MHz Tek puts my portability demand to question (I know, I don't change my mind easily :) )
But $33 for a 2Msamples/s kit is a definite WOW! I'm well past the age when soldering on a test board for a whole weekend used to sound like fun, so... :d...
oscilloscope simple
Buying an old CRT scope was among the (very early) options too, but since I don't need that wide a bandwidth... portability weighs a greater amount in my balance :)
I found the Elektor issue that shows the USB data acquisition board (it's November 2007) and read the article...
usb oscilloscope kit
Hi wp100
Initially I considered buying an used Tek scope, but it's not portable and it's big and heavy. I really do need it to be portable from time to time.
I'll take a look at your suggestions, although an analog scope would be more suitable for my needs. But maybe a...
usb oscilloscope
Hi everybody
I've used my PC's sound card as a very basic oscilloscope for a while now but since I switched to a laptop which only has a mic input (very high sensitivity and can't be relied upon because of internal filters) I decided that I need an USB oscilloscope. Plus I'd...
best paid jobs in europe in future
eltonjohn, when I wrote "at least I'm well paid" I was being sarcastic.
In my opinion a job should be either interesting or well paid, ideally both. But when it's none of the above, there's a problem. Compared to design verification, this testing job that I'm...
best paid it jobs
Short background: been working in logic design verification field for some 4 years (PCIE transceivers). Economical recession stroke and me and all my team mates found ourselves looking for jobs. Now I'm working as a tester for a... major automotive company and I find the job...
eagle cadsoft spectra export
Hi Syntaxer
Please tell me if it's worth learning Eagle in order to use it for autorouting single sided PCB's with automatic jumper insertion?
Thanks

Hi all
First of all, this stuff is only a hobby for me, I don't do PCB's as a pro by any means. Occassionally I need to make a PCB at amateur level and I use Protel. Why Protel? Totally random choice, just got familiar with it.
Anyway, I realize that I totally suck at it. My PCB's look like...
There are hundreds of them, how many do you use frequently? I'm asking because as part of my training program I was given the task of browsing though the variables and write a script containing the relevant ones, and the impression is that when I'll actually need one I won't be able to remember...
I know what DFT is. But JTAG is also used as an interface for programming Flash in MCU's/DSP's etc. JTAG is more general than that, I was expecting the most general answer.
