Hi,
Maybe your could start off by understanding your product (eg. the different concepts and designs used ) and at the same time relate it to what you have studied.

RE: Simulation Question
Hi,
I was simulating using C*S*T software and I encounter a message saying
"inhomogenous material at PML boundary detected"
Could I know what does that mean and how about do I go about solving it?
Thanks.
The Smith Chart
Hi all,
In order to save some points , you could print out the smith chart from this link.

simulation for lna
Hi,
Using the parameters that you stated should be more than enough for designing a LNA. However, you should also take care of what are the critical points that could affect your parameters as there bound to be tolerance in the pcb fabrication, in which the experimental...
Hi borich_03,
I have downloaded both the files but the files are in extension *.mcd ; could I know what software will be able to open the above attachement?
Thanks.
Hi max232,
To my understanding, if u want to use only an antenna in the monopulse, you wouldn't be able to able to get a sum or differencial in phase.
Therefore why for monopulse antenna, they would need 2 antennas.
Anyway, at what frequency you designing this monopulse antenna to be...
Hi,
First of all, you need to know what is the dielectric you are using & the tangent loss, following that you could use calulate the width of the line.
If you know the impedance of the radiating edge and you wish to feed it with a line with 50 ohm, you could use a impedance transformer in...
Substrate for LNA
Hi Ahmer Saeed,
Since you are mentioning about DUROID, you could also look in to 5870. It has a little higher Er & tan loss compared to 5880.
Hi burton,
I think you do not need to put extra effort just to design a 50 ohm line, because there are many free tools which you could get the width of the 50 ohm line just by entering the specifications that you need.
