inductor test
I planning to make a switching voltage regulator, it's operation freq. is 100Khz.
when testing inductor using LC meter, if I find the inductor work good at 500Khz will it also work good at 100KHz?
I hope someone can give me more info about it
I try to use AVR's uart to communicate with my pc but failed so far.
I wrote a code to echo a byte that sent from my pc (hyperterminal, etc) back.
when I sent a byte(char) from hyperterminal, my avr always sent 0x80 back (I tried sent a-z and 0-9)
except for this char: y,i,o,j,k,l,z,x,n,m,8,9...
rc snubber
I'm building a stepper motor driver using ST L297 & L6203 chips.
the circuit contain rc snubber which to be create similar to this link:
**broken link removed**
My Power supply (smps) is 24V - 4.5A.
My stepper motor rated at 3A (I Peak).
My chopper frequency is 25 KHz.
How I...
lt1172
the circuit is taken from LT1170 datasheet (see attached image).
I use LTSpice IV for simulation, For D1 i use schottky diode with IF 3A, for D3 i use silicon diode with IF 3A.
simulation result for Vout= 0 volt, flat.
there is a mark on circuit (like resistor symbol with rectangle), i...
Thanks matbob & banjo.
now the circuit work as I expected.
like your suggestion banjo, I remove the pull up and limiter resistor.
here's my other question:
If the signal clock come from opto-isolated parallel port, is your suggestion for those resistor still stand? or I should keep them on...
74hc14n
I try to connecting 2 board.
the 1st board contain AVR, it's output is ttl signal clock.
the 2nd board, is the receiver of ttl signal, it use 74hc14n chip.
at the input stage of 74hc14n, i put 10k pull up, followed by 10k resistor to input pin of 74hc14n.
it don't work.
is it...
thanks CMOS for your help.
lets assume I separate the VCC & Ground.
At the input stage of optocoupler I use 5v & Gnd from USB port then at the the ouput stage of optocoupler I use external voltage source such from 7805 chip and also ext Gnd.
now, which circuit is best (the data pulse frequency...
I want to isolate my parallel port from my step motor driver by optocoupler.
the input stage on my step motor driver is 74HC14N chip.
which one is best ? (the optocoupler on circuit is a sample, not the one my going to use)
and I hope you can give me some explaination about it. thanks
thanks rvionics.
about your advice for capacitance, how could you know for sure it will be suffient?
is there any formula to calculate that? or it's based on your experience?
I'm newbie to electronic please help:
my output circuit requiered 5V 1Amp.
I'm using IC 7805 as volt regulator, followed by buffer capacitor, how much capacitance do I need to keep my output current & voltage stable?
is there any formula to calculate this?
