Re: any one give me a flash controller? (i not fond on openc
I'm not sure if it is what you want.
Please go to Xilinx's web site, there is one application note showing NAND
FLASH interface design
Designing the ASIC is not the most important stuff, actually it's the rather easy one in this product. You just have to get a 8/16-bit MCU (8051 is the most popular one used in this kind of ASIC), then design your USB I/F, sector buffer management, Flash device interface and ECC circuits...
if u just want to make a home-made one, any mcu w/ usb if is ok. but if u want to have the pro one, some additional logic is necessary like sector buffer, ecc circuit, flash interface etc. cypress provides a develop kit to those who plan to realize their own idea on this disk. it may be a good...
dyn@cell
Does anyone use the dyn@cell from circuitsem@tics? How is it?
Where does some further information or documentation can be obtained?
Any information is appreciated.
Hi Analyzer,
1). u definitely r able to draw 200ma from usb port. the only exception is on the keyboard port of macintosh, as i know
2). vbus is noisy though, it's still usable & depending on how u filter, then make it clean. otherwise, how 2.0 bus powered device exist.
basically, this problem is still solved by the software. this asic should provide a nic driver, and it works similar to that from Ethernet type network. thus it is taken as one nic device from os's point of view. why this asic exists? i only can say where can we find a device w/ 2 usb ports?
usb2.0 hub opencore
i'm not sure if it is right. why u need usb 2.0 model? if u r just running the digital simulation, ur circuits is not able identify the host is 2.0 or not. Use 1.1 is ok.
(3) basically, the main issue of embedding flash/eeprom in asic is on the programming circuits and the protection circuits. programming ckt. provides the path from the programmer external to the asic to the internal flash/eeprom. the most straight way is the dedicated ckt., but the programmer...
dracular lpe
after reading its brochure, i wonder it is able to extract the netlist from gds? it seems to be able to compare the netlist from gds w/ rtl code. i'm not sure if i'm right. besides, i prefer the one which is free, or shareware.
vcs makefile example
i always dump the simulation results in vcd format no matter ldv or vcs. then i make use of the utility "vfast" (located in /novas/debussy/bin) to translate the vcd file to fsdb file. this method is much faster than that dumpping in fsdb format directly.
