ya, for IC's i can see the datasheets. But I wanted to design a TDC of my own, say a simple vernier delay line TDC. Based on what should I fix the limit of my input rise time

yes, how much should it be fast, timing uncertainity i get it.
I wanted to measure jitter (by simulation) for my 10KHz oscillator. Can I run a PN analysis using spectre and integrate it to find jitter?
Why there are no Phase noise plots for low frequency oscillators and how are their jitter characterised in general?
Hi, I am referring to a thesis from niknejad's group, which uses the following formulae to convert phase noise to frequency uncertainity
I tried calculating frequency uncertainty for the same example that was stated in the image. But I could not get the 0.1 ppm answer that he gets. can someone...
Re: TDC IC start and stop
Yes i understand that it gives the time period between start and stop. But I have only one digital signal as input , whose frequency is to be counted. What will my stop input be? (eg. TDC7200)
Hi, I wanted to measure the frequency of a signal using a TDC. Typical TDC's uses a start and stop signal as input. What does that mean and how does that help me in measuring the frequency of my signal
hi i asked which is better of the two (i) LR time constant (ii) resonant frequency, in terms of accuracy.

hi smijesh, i asked which is better of the two (i) LR time constant (ii) resonant frequency, in terms of accuracy.
Hi,
I have come across unknown inductance measurement by
(i) connecting a resistance in series with the inductance, thereby measuring the time constant, from which the inductance value is calculated
(ii) By using a resonant circuit, from the resonant frequency.
Which way of measuring gives a...
Hi, I have designed the cascode BGR attached in the fgure. When I connected n AC source and measured the PSRR i get only around -15dB at 1KHZ. pls tell me why i get very low PSRR.

In a mixer (gilbert cell), whether the diff pairs acts as a current/voltage switch? What are the properties to find out if a mosfet acts as a votage/current switch?
