Re: How to design a crystall oscilator circuit using CMOS 40106 DESIGN
Hi Klaus
I want to use an 8MHz crystal.
Would i still get it to oscillate at fo 1Mhz with provided values?
Hi,
I need some help in designing this crystal oscillator circuit. I have attached the diagram. I want it to oscillate around 1MHZ.
How do i calculate the capacitor and resistor values values?
Can you please share the formulas
Hi,
I have two oscilators circuits, circuit1 and circuit2.
i now want to phase lock them using circuit3 using phase detector CD4046.
circuit1 must be used as the reference source and circuit2 as the 2nd input to the phase detector.
Can someone please show me what pins must i connect?
Hi E-Design,
How do i get the ESR of the crystal?

@ E-Design, how did you get the values for the circuit? Can you please show me the calculations..
@FvM what should the resistors be? Or rather, how should i calculate them? Please share?
@kripacharya, once the resistor are correct would be to try build the citcuit and test using oscilloscope.
Hi All,
I want to design a colpitts crystal oscillator with operating frequency of 4MHZ. This is the calculations that i have done, please check and advise.
I want to calculate the values of R1, R2, C1, C2, C3 and C4, see attachment.
I saw a guide saying C1 should be a value between (39 –...
Hi,
I haven't done antenna theory since high and need some help here. I'm trying to answer these questions below in preparation for an exam. Can someone please help me out.
A system has these parameters:
- Frequency of operation = 42MHZ
- Transmitter power output = 160 watts
- Receive antenna...
Re: Debugging MikroC Code
Hi Susan,
Thanks for the explaination, what happens when i send event13 when i send 20!4#t20? When i use the logic that you have use above, im not sure why event13 is not being used here too when i send 20!4#t20.
I have defined char temperatureTresholdData[5], could...
Re: Debugging MikroC Code
Hi Susan,
the UART is working perfectly as seen on my realterm that im using, so im sending correct SMS to SIM900. Can you please have a look for me at case13 as when i send 20!4#d2, it should be setting my delay to 2min.
May you kindly check this for me.

Hi All,
I have the below code and I'm testing these codes:
20!4#d2 - turn OFF/ON light after 2minutes
20!4#t30 - to set the threshold temperature to 30 degrees celcius.
The issue i have is that when i send these code i keep getting SMS "Incorrect Code recieved". Can someone please show me...
Hi All,
I have interfaced an LM35 with PIC18F2550 and with SIM900 device. I send the this SMS code to set the temperature threshold to 30 degrees celcuis(20!4#30) and i store this on the eeprom. To read the threshold is send this SMS (20!4#rt) I then read the temperature by sending this code to...
Hi,
I have a simple circuit that i created on the proteus8.1 simulator and have written code to flash LED connected to the PIC16F84A device.
When i simulate, the LED is NOT flashing and NO ERRORS on the simulator. Please assist
void main() {
TRISB=0b11111101;
while (1)

Hi,
At the moment i don't have a gate. I was hoping I can get advise on what motor I can use to simulate opening and closing of the gate. What hardware one can use to best build this project.
