mixer and modulator?
There are two input in this circuit.
One is large signal and one another is small signal in mixer.
The two signal are small in multiplier.
The two signal are large in modulator. (I am not sure.)

Frequency Doubler
Hi,
You can use upconversion mixer as frequency doubler. The input is two same frequency signal.
One is small signal and the another is large signal.
You can search Gilbert Mixer paper or study Razavi RF textbook.
You can acuuire POR paper on IEICE web. And the papers on IEICE web are free.
