Divide by 3 or Divide by n Counter

    n counter Use a 3bit counter

Amplifier: small signal vs large signal :?:

for amplifier, small signal. in large signal you have distortion unlike small signal. it means in large signal you have a nonlinear system.

What is the basic phenomenon behind ADC?

adc there are many methods for ADC. you can visit the followin references :basic concepts of data converters,by B.Razavi

    serial versus parallel data transfer

twisted pair serial or parallel you must compare serial links with parallel with same technology. as technology adveces and engineers like to design serial links, the speed also increses.

    amplitude modulation..?

dsb.sc am DSB-Sc is one kind of AM . In conventional AM the carrier is not suppresed but in DSB-SC the carrier is suppresed. Conventional AM has a simple demodulator unlike DSB-Sc.

What MSc thesis should consist of ?

Parts of an MSc thesis ? In MS or Ph.D you must do a novel research. unlike in BSC that you implement a system or circuit.

What is the effect of collector resistance in biasing?

Transistor Biasing ? You must know the main reason and idea of biasing. then there are some biasing networks for discrete and integrated circuits. the microelectronic of sedra is a good reference. yes, if you know the bias you can apply it for any kind of circuits with small variations.

Mosfet current mirror as Active load instead of resistor

current mirror as active load It is not desirable to have low output impedance. because the gain of AMp is reduced. the main reason that current mirrors are used is that we had a single ended amplifier which has high Gm.

How are CMOS switches implemented in digital circuits?

CMOS switches switches are implement by P or N nmos or both of them due to their better conductance. but in analog circuits such as A/D some complicate switches are used to prevent distortion(Vgs=Vdd).

What are the applications of flip flops types?

flip flops types? Because each of them has specific characteristics which made them suitable for each application. for example D and T filpflop is appropiat for conters. But jK and Rs filpflops is suitable when you want your data be latched.

    Basic questions about Analog ground

Re: Analog ground 1) in the design of Mixed mode IC (Analog+Digital) due to the switching, the current of Vdd and also substrate is changed that causes noise. so that the analog ground is separated from digital 2) In todays IC technologies Vdd and ground is used not +-vdd. because making the...

    What is compensation law ?

may be your mean is about fequency compensation. the goal of frequency compensation is stabilize the system which has a feedback. generally, bandwidth of system is decresed to enhance the phase margin(stability). In the other hand the step response of your system doesn't have overshoot if you...

Where should I start learning CMOS?

Re: CMOS IF you have basic information about electronic, i suggest that you study about the physics of MOS [S.M. ZEE is a good referance], fabrication technology [S.M ZEE,] , You study about analog integration circuit [ Razavi, Ken martin, temes] Digital integration circuit[eshragian, david...

why waves can travel in both diretions in a transmition line

Re: why waves can travel in both diretions in a transmition If you have impedance mismatches in input or output (receiver or transmitter) some of wave can be reflected. you can study transmission lines in david cheng book.

Which parameter is vital for mosfet selection?

Re: about mosfet selection The length of channel (L) is the ost important parameter. short channel devices hav good frequency functions but have small gain. Threshold voltage. probably you need som extra devices or layers in your design such as poly2 metal 3,... .
