    Lattice ICE40HX8K unresponsive when programed

Its the smallest things that matter. The programing configuration was wrong. I still have a small issue, the signals dont get updated unless I power cycle the board/ restart the board. Any ideas?

    Lattice ICE40HX8K unresponsive when programed

Hi, As I mentioned in my earlier post, I am now directly programing the FPGA without the FTDI, literally, I have no FTDI chip on either boards, both of them removed on the PCB. I am using the HW-USBN-2B (**broken link removed**) programing cable and programing the fpga over SPI. Regards...

    Lattice ICE40HX8K unresponsive when programed

Hi Klaus, Thanks for your reply. I went through my design again. The schematic is an exact replica of the official schematic. As for the board layout, I dont have the official layout but have followed the layout guidelines. Any suggestions what I should do? Regards, Salman - - - Updated - -...

    Lattice ICE40HX8K unresponsive when programed

Hi All, I have designed a breakout board/evaluation board for ICE40HX8K-CT256 that is an exact copy (schematics wise) of the official board available by lattice. I had a lot of issues with the design but have narrowed them down. Originally, in the schematic, the FPGA is being programmed by...

    GSM current and voltage level

Thanks for the reply. However, I am interested in the current and voltage values individually. Is there a method to measure them individually?

    GSM current and voltage level

Hi, I need to find the voltage and current rating of the GSM signal for ensuring a reliable PCB RF trace. I am using SIM900 GSM module which has a maximum transmit power of 2W. How can I find the voltage and current? I have searched the internet for one of the values but couldnt find anything...

Coplanar Waveguide with Ground via placement

Hi all, I need to make a coplanar waveguide with ground and I need to know what via spacing to use for strapping the ground to the ground plane. My operating frequency is 1900 MHz (Using GSM). Are there any calculations which can be used for this purpose? Thanks in advance, Regards, Salman

    Use server power supply independently

Hi, I need to use these power supplies as voltage sources. Can you tell me how to do that? Regards Salman

    Use server power supply independently

Hi all, I have two server power supplies that I want to use independently as power supplies (for purposes other than server power eg a 12V source for charging batteries). The models are HP-R650FF3 by HIPRO and DPS 600-SB A by Delta Electronics. Kindly help me out. Thanks in advance, Regards...

Effect of PCB vias on GSM signals

Hi, I am trying to find if it is ok to put vias in the path of GSM signals? I know that vias should be avoided on high speed traces but is there any design note describing the effects of vias on GSM signals? What number of vias are permissible? Do they change the impedance of the trace? I am...

GSM Antenna ESD protection power level

Hi, We are targeting IEC61000-4-2 for ESD protection. The contact discharge is +-8KV and air discharge is +-15KV. However, we need to know what should be the "power" level of the device selected for ESD protection. Thanks in advance, Regards, Salman

GSM Antenna ESD protection power level

Hi, Thanks for the reply. I am from Pakistan where the GSM frequencies are in all four bands (850,900, 1800, 1900 MHz). However, I am concerned about the power level of these pulses. I need to know what should be the power rating of the ESD protection device that we should use. Thanks in...
