I am doing the same project as yours
you will need to buy 75 ohm cable or adapter from minimum loss pad to your fixture
the others cable can use 50ohm
VNA-->50ohm environment-->MLP-->75ohm environement--fixture
50ohm environment
From VNA till MLP, it depends

ANy pro out there
Can guide me how to do this calibration ?
I don't have the setting for the setup
I am using Agilent PNA-X for Network analyzer
Since i am using self-made cal board, i need to setup my own value and my own setup for this calibration or do i use default value ?
I never use that before
You can find from net for the guide whether does it support any smith chart utilities in it.If yes, then it will make your work easier a lot
Hi all,
I came through this process with some doubts
If i am measuring OIP3 in 75ohm environment , means there will be two different frequency feed into my input.
Does it cause any unbalanced output ?Do i need a balun to balance it ?:-|
To all,
When i setting up for my PNA-x for the measurement, Why do I need to set my IF Bandwidth below 1KHz ?
Is there any specs for it or we defined ourselves ?
All response are appreciated and welcomed
Thank you
thanks but, i already have the minimum loss pad. What i needed is the adapter from output of the MLP to the cal board
The adapter have to be 75ohm nominal impedance, N-type (female) to SMA (male)
hi all,
I am calibrating for 75 ohm environment with matching pad 50-75ohm and 3.5mm 50ohm Rf cable and TRL cal board(75ohm)
Problems starts here
to calibrate off the loss for the matching pad, i need to connect a adapter to my matching pad.
The adapter have to be 75ohm nominal impedance...
I know.My question is regarding the external components like inductor and caps, do i need to change their value when i changing termination impedance from 50ohm to 75ohm ?
