Hi all
I have a routed network as in the attached picture. Three routers with linux OS, three LANs and end devices (ED). I have configured a NAT for address translation from the local addresses (in red) to the routable addresses (blue). Everything works fine.
Now I'd like to configure a virtual...
Because the nodes move normally. They remain fixed just when they start the communication with the master node. I have just to realize the nearest one.

I confirm: same TX power and antennas. I will try to think...
Hello Kafeman
With "what error rate that can be accepted" you mean the sensitivity of the receiver or the resolution? or both?
Could it help if I use the same modules as TX and the same power (set so that the maximum reachable distance is 30-40 meters)?
R.
The environment consists of different nodes at different distances (fixed, known). And I would like to know which one is the closest from the master node. Could the measurement of the received power a good parameter to do that? It's a sort of neighbours discovering, but I'm interested just at...
Hi bigdogguru
Thank you very much for your fast and useful reply!
Do you think that with these modules I'm able to distinguish two nodes at 10 meters and at 25 meters, as an example? Or you think that this is independent from the module?

Hi all
I'm trying to develop an application in 802.11 field, short distances. The scenario consists of WiFi end points at different distances and the master point must be able to detect which point is the closest one. The distances are about 10 meters and can reach a maximum of 100 m. The...
Hello to everybody,
I'm trying to configure my pc (linux) so that I can use WLAN and UMTS modem.
The purpose is connect my laptop to the server in the following way:
via WLAN when I'm at home (my laptop and the server are in the same LAN)
use the UMTS modem for remote connection to the server...
Hi all,
I would like to rebuild a redundant system. Till now I have used the CARP (Common Address Redundancy Protocol) to provide redundancy, since the involved machines (two PCs) were in the same network segment (the same LAN). Now I would like to change the switches with new routers and...
Hi all,
could anybody give me some indications about how I can implement an ibis (VDV 300 standard) interface? chipset, c-libraries, dev kit ...
thanks a lot in advance.
Hmmm ... is it a library? I would like to develop an application (on a linux-based board) that based on external commands (received via Ethernet or serial), can handle (play, stop, put in pause, and so on) music files.
I need a library and APIs. any ideas? thanks.
Re: RTP/RTSP HELP NEEDED
Sure, the code of linphone is not so easy to understand!
I can suggest you some tutorials and libraries, from which you can read some simple examples.
try with jrtplib, or ccrtp.
Can I use multicast in a switched LAN?
I have a network as in picture, with 2 switches, 2 hubs and about ten PCs. Both switches implements spanning tree protocol (it defines SW1 as root switch).
In my application I stream voice packets on a multicast address (RTP) and everything seems to work...
