To selva500,
Sorry, I was too busy these days to check EDA site. I got high pass response by simulating what you gave me (if I remember it right). Regarding layout: I never create footprint in Genesys itself. What I did is to ask professional PCB designer create footprint for me and then...
To rautio,
Thank you very much Dr.Rautio! I found these papers and downloaded them. Unfortunately I was too busy these days with my last paper and had no ability to check EDA site earlier.
Best regards,
RF-OM
To calculate all these rectifier parameters complicated methods are used. Most of them involved graphical representation, not the exact equations. You need to know all the transformer parameters in order to determine the internal impedance of the transformer as the source, then you need count...
de embedding in ads
I agree with rautio. Also, you need to be very careful with HFSS, often this program give wrong results even for simple cases.
To rautio,
Could you please upload these articles?. Unfortunately my MTT archive stops on year 2004.
I am not sure I understand you right. To buy something you need to know what it is. In your case you need to know vendor and part number. If you want to make the same coil by yourself you need to do reverse engineering on this part. It may be illegal, depends on your particular circumstances.
Re: UWB mixer
There are a lot of different UWB technologies and not all of them require frequency conversion. For example, I am doing a lot of UWB designs without mixer.
Mixers should be avoided wherever is possible because it is probably the most vulnerable to any interference and non-linear...
short open inductor de-embedding
As I remember ADS can do de-embedding, and many other RF simulators as well. I use LINC2 where are two ways to do it. 1st is de-embedding calculator and the 2nd is to use input and output circuit physical lines models. For example, you have DUT and input and...
In general any circuit that has reactance can resonate at some frequencies. The resonance condition “sum of reactance is equal to zero” can occur in different part of electrical network and at different frequencies. When reactive part of impedance goes to minimum it does not mean that the total...
To simonwai999,
As I understood you have a transformer with two 9V windings connected seriously. In this case you will have about 20/(9x2)=20/18=1.1A available continuous current. For half-Wave (single diode) rectifier theoretically output DC voltage should be about 18x0.45=8.1V RMS. RMS (Root...
why need modulation in radio
To ckshivaram,
Modulation was invented not for packing and actually does not related to it. Modulation is the process to put information on the carrier in order to be able to send it through the air or any other applicable media. Modulation can be used for packing...
Second pin allows to decrease parasitic inductance in source-to-ground connection. Two lines in parallel will provide almost two times less inductance.
Re: 4-way combiner
I found a couple of papers regarding Wilkinson design, but did not find the paper what I mentioned earlier. I will upload these articles and try to find more.
P.S. EDAboard site showed that one of the papers already uploaded. This is the link:
