Hi
I'm experimenting with power line communication by connecting 2 modems (Texas Instuments PLC developer's kits) through 100m of RG58 coaxial cable as a model power line and injecting white gaussian noise with a signal generator. The modems exchange modulated packets of data shown in fig 1.
I...
Hi all
I'm trying to use the TCM2-33X+ transformer from mini circuits in an ADS simulation. Unfortunately their downloaded s parameters are 'not a valid touchstone format'.
Could someone show me how to convert the file (shown attached) into a valid format ADS can use for an S3P model?
Hi all
Fairly straightforward, I want to recreate the graphs on the HMC220 Hittite Mixer datasheet in ADS using a component model and information from the datasheet, not using the s parameter data files. Specifically the Return loss graph at LO=+10dBm (shown below) This is ultimately for...
Hi all
I'm trying to model the Hittite HMC220 mixer in Agilent ADS by transferring data from the MxN Spurious Outputs table in the datasheet into an IMT file, then using the MixerIMT2 component from the ADS palette to simulate the response.
Agilent have a page on IMT file formats: **broken...
Hi all.
I've got 4 .csv excel files from a network analyser. Is there any way to import them into ADS without downloading a CSV to .mdf /.mdif or s2p converter? If not, is there any way to convert to s2p format without a converter?
Thanks!
Right got it. Lesson learned on the vias. Eliminated the second feedback loop, stuck in 33nF and a 0.1pF coupling capacitors (with individual vias) each on the drain and gate. Also Some adjustment of the microstrip lines to make it practically solderable. Got 1.2 minimum stability for the mu...
Hi all
Got some screenshots attached for a low noise amplifier using an ATF-34143 FET from avago. The objective is to create this amplifer on a PCB with the following specs:
1. Unconditional stability across 0-18 GHz
2. S21 > 15dB between 1.5-1.6 GHz
3. noise figure < 1dB between 1.5-1.6 GHz...
Hi
What I'm trying to do is create a bias network for avago ATF-34143 transistor model in ADS which matches the plotted S parameters of an S2P file to that of an ADS model of the transistor with a bias circuit. Bias at VDS=3 V, IDS=40 mA.
Both the model and the S2P file of the transistor are...
Hi all
I'm trying to design a low noise amplifier with these specifications:
Frequency: 1.5GHz
Gain>15dB
noise figure <1dB
unconditionally stable K>1
I'm using Avago ATF-34143 HEMT as the active device. I'm quite new to this, I've found tons of stuff online about LNAs but very little on how to...
