I need to design a DC to 5GHz CMOS LNA with a decent gain and reasonable noise figure. I know distributed amplifier can provide input matching from dc to up to more than 10GHz. But it seems the gain is not enough. Besides, the power consumption is pretty big.
I am thinking of some...
pll band gap
I am recently reading some ph.d dissertation about PLL design. Seems very few mentioned the current reference design in charge pump. Do they use some kind of standard circuits or they use some external current reference when measuring their circuits ?
Varactor DRC error
Hi all,
I am working on the layout of a VCO. I use a varactor pc-cell named varcap provided by tsmc 0.25 PDK. But DRC always reports errors like "NMOS to Pwell contact max 20um" and "NMOS must be outside Nwell" even I put nothing but the varactor pc-cell alone. I...
Hi I am looking for a CMOS single-pole double-throw switch which could
switch differential signals. The working frequency better to be up to 2GHz.
Is there any available topology for that?
I am trying to find out a on-chip solution for UWB signal generation. Both impulse and Gaussian Monocycle pulse are considered.
I did some research and found analog approach is hard. Most companies use high speed digital circuits to generate impulse.
Say if I need 1 ns wide impuse, less...
You may want to look at SRd shunt mode topology.
Here are some useful papers:
Computer aids design of impulse multipliers
Shunt-mode Harmonic generation using step recovery diodes
The transient simulation in ADS often failes to convergent. I have to
keep changing time step and other parameter randomly to make it work.
Any suggestion or trick on that?
I need to design a balun (or transformer) to transform an 0-2V square
wave to two -2-2V squre wave signals with 180 degree phase difference.
The frequency are fixed at 10MHz.
I am looking at some active balun structure. But no good topology for
mine problem so far.
