Hello,
I am using HFSS for a microstrip antenna design and I want to print my design on a PCB. The company I have found, requires a GERBER format file. As far as I know, HFSS only exports sm3 files. Do you know a file converter from sm3 to GERBER?
Thank you
Hello,
I have set up an air box around my antenna and defined it as a radiation boundary. The box is distanced at a bit more than a quarter of the free space wavelength of the cenetr frequency from every side of the antenna (except the feeding side). The trouble is that when I increase the...
antenna directivity profile
Hello, how can I plot the directivity of an antenna in HFSS in dBi (relative to an isotropic antenna) since in the plot window I can only select dB for the measurement unit?
Thank you
HFSS wavelength
Hello,
Does anybody know how I can determine the wavelength of a wave propagating along a microstrip line in HFSS???
I don't want to use a microstrip calculator because I will have to determine the wavelength for other transmission guides too.
Thanks
printed dipole calculator
Hello,
I am designing a half wave printed dipole antenna and I have one question: when considering the length of the dipole arms (which should be 1/4*wavelength), what wavelength should I take? Shall I use the free space wavelength - since the antenna radiates into...
Hello!
I've used a rectangle with a Lumped RLC boundary assigned to it to terminate a microstrip line. My question is: does the size of the rectangle matter or just the length and position of the Current Flow Line?
thank you!!!
wave port site:edaboard.com
hello!
I have another question regarding wave ports. I've read in the Ansoft White paper that "wave ports are always a matched termination to a transmission line". What does this mean? If I have a transmission line with a wave port at either end, and I run a...
