I found these lovely potentiometer knobs (https://no.mouser.com/datasheet/2/26/aluminum_Knobs-348847-1158343.pdf), but I'm not sure what type of potentiometer shaft types they are supposed to fit. I've specifically bought the KB-series which has two fastening screws, each 120 degrees apart and...
I'm using a SN74LV1T08DBVR as a 1.8V to 3.3V translator, but I just figured out that it draws huge amounts of current if one of it inputs is set somewhere between GND and VCC (as with other CMOS inputs). The datasheet clearly states that it can be used as a 1.8V to 3.3V translator, but the...
Looking to merge these two:
The first image is of a mill-max smd test points, but they are far smaller than regular pin headers. I'm going to use these as test points, but I want them to be SMD and single (not a row of 2.54mm pitch headers for instance). Can anyone help me find what I'm...
STMicroelectronics calls it PowerFLAT, Vishay calls it PowerPAK, Texas calls it VSONP-8, but does it has a generic name that is manufacturer independent? I need to give it a name in my CAD software :)
I'm thinking of just figuring out if D+ and D- are shorted or not. If they aren't, I can draw 500mA. If they are shorted I know it's connected to a charging port, but I wouldn't really know how much current to draw from it.
How can I device figure out if it's been connected to a standard USB 2.0 port that can deliver 500mA, or a proper USB charger that can deliver 1A or perhaps 2A?
I'm implementing a PCM2706 in an audio amplifier that I'm designing. I've read through the datasheet and I think I've figured most of it out, but it's the part regarding 'device descriptors' that I'm a little stuck with. The datasheet says the following:
The datasheet doesn't say anything...
I'm having a hard time figuring out how this is done. I'm reading that some memory cards do support 1.8V signalling, but I don't know which type of cards these are. I'm also not sure if these cards have to be initialized with 3.3V logic level and then switch to 1.8V. This article...
I think I figured it out. My bootstrap diodes (D7 and D26) were no good. Either they couldn't supply the current or their reverse recovery time was too long, either way they failed to charge the bootstrap capacitor to no more than a couple of volts. This lead Q1 to only be partially ON which...
Here is the output. The 20khz oscillation is visible:
AC coupled:
The 0.01R current sense resistor is of the same value as the one the datasheets displays. It has to be of a certain value to get the correct over-current limit. How can the load impedance be too low? The regulator is...
Hi. I'm using a LTC3780EG Buck-Boost regulator as a part of a MCU-controlled battery charging circuit. The circuit is apparently working fine with a steady output voltage, but it's efficiency is only around 75% and the duty cycle to the fets is swinging between 36 and 46% with a frequency of...
