what are the SRBs ? do they help in creation of RRC connection or are they created while RRC Connection is created?
I read that RRC Connection request goes upto the RNC and then the NBAP Radio Link allocation starts. How is it possible? shouldn'd NBAP setups be executed before the RRC connection...
I know about the RRC States but my wuery is what all setup goes on... what resources are allocated to the UE or Node B by RNC when UE is in connected mode. So how does idle mode differs from Cell_PCH state?
What is the significance of being connected?
can any one explain me the Registered Dissector table, Dissector table and the sub dissector tables used in Wireshark? I need to kow the contents of all.
i want to access following reference material. Where will i get it? there is a reference to the following in 25.201 series of 3gpp specs.

thanks i advance
what does the "S" in S2.02 signify?
I have one doubt. I agree with all the talks but i am not sure from where does the Iu-b stack of protocols come into picture with Radio Network layer and Transport Network layer. We know that Node B works on

i read all tbout all the UTRAN interfaces. I want to clarify my understandings... the Radio network Layer is the one having all the UTRAN specific functions while the Transport network Layer just specifies how the data is to be transmitted between various nodes in the Interfaces. like b/w Node-B...
i am still not clear what O&M does. can any give an overview.

thanks for the text.
I have an initial UMTS doubt.
Its that i am not clear how the Iub interface or for the matter of fact even Iu-PS Iu-CS carry RADIO NETWORK PLANE and TRANSPORT NETWORK PLANE. As far as i am concerned i only know about the end to end AS, NAS and Control Plane and User Plane...
