Re: Matlab
you can write a m file using matlab
give you a example
function nn=ldo()

Re: Why does it use the exponential function in analog desig
In John M. Khoury,"On the design of constant settling time AGC circuits" paper, it will tell you why exponential needed.
pull-up resistor??
the out of some chip is drain floating, so if you want get a voltage you must place a pull-up resistor.
the other use of pull-up res is to enlarge driver current.
ac anslysis of ldo
this maybe a good idea!
but it could make some other problem. when I connect a capacitor (c=10p) parallelled with resistor R3, it should bring a pole and a zero. But because the large capacitor(c=1KF) connected in the input so by hspice simulation the capacitor parallelled...
Re: How to simulate .ac of LDO?
I saw a ldo circuit in a paper 'Performance Evaluation of CMOS Low Drop-Out Voltage Regulators' showed below:
This circuit puzzled me. Should the feedback be connected to M2 gate? Why not M1 gate?
The paper is below.
Hi, I'm studying ldo design. I've met a problem of ac simulation. In figure below, one of input of error amp is connected to the feedback net.
When I do .ac simulation, I put a spiral between input of EA and feedback net. So the DC voltage of input achived and ac signal is blocked. But how can...
Dear philipwang,
What you said is very right! But it is difficult to get the dI/dVin(though I know the derivative fuction in awaves), because my current is achieved at common mod input. dI/dVin should be got at different mod input and can't achieved in common mod. When in different mod, I get...
Hi,philipwang
As you say, I am designing a constant gm rail to rail amplifier. The gm vs Vcm might can't be achieved directly as you say, though the current vs Vcm can be got directly by simulation. But I do want the gm versus Vcm! How can I get it?
Thank you very much!
I know the gm=dIo/dVin, and we can simulate it by ac analyse. It is a frequency analyse.
But I want to get the relationship of gm to the Vcm(common mode input voltage). How can I get it?
Thanks!
