    Hi Anyone have a user manual for the FC660, FA660, FT690 and CD634. Especially the tape dack would be nice to know how to operate. And I need to find out how to make the remote work with ll units.

    He is saying that caps over 1mf are usually Ecaps. Do I need a cap checker to know what it is are is there another way to determine the type?

    Re: finding component. ok, thought the schematics would say what values these coils had. I have the metal housing from the old trimming coil. But must of the numbers are gone. It says 3? on the first line and 450???? on the next. The brand is Mitsumi. The pcb says L-3. I think it is called a...

    THey don't all seem to glow evenly much when warm. I'll try with a 10-12v light first if I can find one that has the same size as the old one.

    Yes, but can't tell what that black part is. - - - Updated - - - Both. With lamp it was a little less than 40v.

    I tried testing the voltage. In dc it reads zero but in AC it reads about 40 volts. And that is when the radio is warmed up. Untill then it reads almost 250v and dropping to 40 when warm. Can that really be true? I also tried putting dc through the working bulb and about 10 volts made it glow...

    No, it is one of two bulb for lighting the scale on an old radio. It is difficult the measure inside those small sockets.
