If next time u get in the same situation just google the link like this (put in Google search box: Schaum_s_Outline_of_Differential_Equations.3Ed.0071456872.rar or whatever the link might be....)
it doesn't matter that u put - C1 or + C1..... obviously if u put "-C1" and C1 comes out to be a positive value then putting "+C1" will give a negative value of C1.... is it really difficult !! if u still can't get it then try it by putting bot the signs and see yourself......

Yeah i know u r a student and u said u aren't a beginner.... but u r asking for a project idea not in a way intermediate student should ask.... u seemed to me a beginner.... if u please tell me about yr level in communication side and how much do u know about it then may be i or others will be...

As far as keypad decoding is concerned, i think it is nearly impossible without using microcontroller....
U can find divider algorithms in digital design books and implement it.... Refer "HDL Chip Design" By Douglas Smith.....
for the display make tables solve maps... not easy but...
I also don't know about this stuff very much... but i have somewhere (i think in EPE or elektor magazine) read about this idea on a low level basis... i mean it was for hobbyists(i should say intermediate hobbysists)... if u r a beginner then i hope that article might help u.... u can search the...
