do you know how does this chip do the digital detection algorithm? In the datasheet, it said it use some sort of digital counting technique. Do you have any idea of what that is? If so, please help. Thank you

With a Master of Science in EE, you can continue in pursuing ph.D degree. However, a Master of Engineering degree is a terminal degree which you won't able to continue to pursue for the ph.D degree. I hope this help.

gliss, I shall have been more clear. I need a UART that does not talk with the microprocessor. I think the one that come with the EDK opb_uart did talk to microprocessor.
