    how to modulate between digital and analog signal in vhdl?

    hi all, as my question, how do we modulate digital signal and analog signal(carrier) in vhdl? is it relevance to convert the analog signal (carrier) using ADC to get the digital form of it and then modulate it? or is there are some other ways that are more relrevance? thanks for the help.
