Need help in Opto-Triac Driver Circuit

thanks but yes Iam using a 150ohm resistor with opto-led and blue cap are 0.1u 400v. I guess its problem due to snubber part. Iam designing this for general purpose use and it might be possible sometimes that AC motor may be used as load. So i guess snubber is required. but its not working with...

Need help in Opto-Triac Driver Circuit

Hi Friends, Iam using the following circuit using MOC3021 Optocoupler and BT-136 Triac. When 5V is applied then the bulb glows but when 0V is applied it do not completely switch off. The bulb just gets dim and do not completely turn off. On State -- Off State (Bulb gets very dim but not...

[PIC] Help with zero crossing detector

Yes I do have thought about transformer and a SMPS circuit but that can add a lot of components to the design and a transformer. Its a considerable option though. I will try to get zero crossing in this or otherwise use SMPS, that would be more safer also. thanks anyway.

[PIC] Help with zero crossing detector

Hi klaus, Yes we can reverse the components to change Phase and neutral like the image below, but then main problem is i have to also connect triacs with this circuit. Please keep that also in mind.

[PIC] Help with zero crossing detector

Hi friends, I'am using the following circuit for powering a AVR microprocessor. I need a zero crossing detector for the same circuit. Please suggest how to build a zero crossing detector that can be used simultaneously with this power supply.

[AVR] Transformerless power supply for ATMEGA16 microcontroller (Please help)

I totally understand that it has AC running though the board and no one is gonna touch the circuit. Yes i tried to attach 3 LEDS simultaneously in parallel b/w VCC and GND but output was not good. LEDS were not glowing continuously but flickering. Though on implementing it was hardly noticeable...

[PIC] Help with the current output of this Circuit

Hi Friends, I want to know the CURRENT OUTPUT of this circuit and how it is calculated. And can i use this circuit to drive my Atmega16. I also need to attach 7 leds with it which can glow simultaneously. Will the current be enough for that? Please help.

[AVR] Transformerless power supply for ATMEGA16 microcontroller (Please help)

Thanks for the reply. What value R should i put with Line? And can you please tell the current i will get with this circuit. Its is working fine in simulator software but i wanted to know if my PIC will be safe with this or not.

[AVR] Transformerless power supply for ATMEGA16 microcontroller (Please help)

Hi Friends, I want to use following circuit for power supply in atmega16 microcontroller. I will also attach 7 leds to controller and one TSOP sensor. Please tell me if it will work properly (when all leds are on) or not and can i use it for long term(how reliable it will be). Please help me...
