    Early Late Gate Clock synchronization

@zorro Thanks again, for your reply. Quite a pitty that Gardner deleted the chapter about data synchronization in the latest edition. I will try to get a copy of the second edition in the university library.

    Early Late Gate Clock synchronization

Many thanks for your reply. I have checked out the book Phaselock Techniques 3rd Edition by Floyd Gardner. But there are only two page about Synchronization of Data Signals in Chapter 17 Miscellaneous Applications of Phaselock Loop. You mentioned a entire chapter about data synchronizers...

Fatal internal error in system generator

I think the error is related to some of the feedback loops in your design. I have read something about that in the SystemGenerator Getting Started Guide. Try searching the Xilinx Website for feedback loops related error reports. Otherwise the error report itself gives you the best advice...

    Early Late Gate Clock synchronization

Hello, I have designed an Early Late Gate Clock synchronization with Matlab/Simulink. It is working so far, but only Phase Differences are corrected. There is a problem with compensating a frequency offset. I think it is necessary to improve the design (gain of the VCO, filter parameters)...

why non-data aided timing recovery is better than data aided

Re: data aided timing recovery That's false. More Information/Knowledge of the received signal is always better. Potential data aided timing recovery is better than non-data aided timing recovery in sense of a lower Bit Error Rate. A disadvantage is of course that you need to provide the extra...

    Offset QPSK Carrier Recovery

Can the carrier recovery for "Offset-QPSK with Half-Sine Pulse Shaping" can be done in the exact same manner as for QPSK? I would like to use a Costas Loop (shown in the picture below) to demodulate a "Offset-QPSK signal with Half-Sine Pulse Shaping". The picture is from "The...
