Where is the Reset_Addr, Undef_Addr etc. defined?

I am experimenting with the ARM7TDMI-s in LPC2119 and trying to figure out what is in the startup.s code to understand the vector interrupt system. I have this curiosity where the labels like Reset_Addr and SWI_Addr are defined because they are not in the same file and neither in the header...

Real World examples where Exceptions are involved ARM7

The ARM7TDMI-S processor has seven operating modes: • User mode is the usual ARM program execution state, and is used for executing most application programs. • Fast interrupt (FIQ) mode supports a data transfer or channel process. • Interrupt (IRQ) mode is used for general-purpose interrupt...

    Need examples/exercises involving LPC21XX series

Hi, clearly, the LPC21XX is not supported much on the net. There are very few books about it. I would like some exercises involving GPIO, Interrupts, Timers, ADC, UART etc. to give my students in order to start practicing on their board. Currently I am using the LPC2119 from futurlec...

    Comparing ARM7 microcontroller to 8051

Hi, how would you guys compare the ARM7 micro-controller to the 8051 ?

    Lecturing Microcontrollers Module (need tips)

Hi there :) After getting my B. Eng only recently. Now I need to put it into good use :) I was asked to deliver a microcontrollers module to the level 5 students in the same institute where i studied. I will be using the LPC2119 which is based on an ARM7-TDMI-S core where I will...

Monitor wasn't switching on, now swtiches on with two buttons. Dont switch off

Hi, I am trying to repait a Benq Q9T4 Monitor which wouldn't turn. I found some help online that they need to replace some caps on the power board. I check all the electrolytic caps with my DMM all gave good readings of capacitance and after the test they gave a resistance in the range of...

12V to 240V inverter discontinuous output

I replaced the mosfets and everything is working as before. (glitch still there). I stopped the cooling fans to hear a little better but there was no arking noise :s. I noticed that from one of the LT494 there was a steady freq of 34k on 2 pins while on the other lt494 there was nothing...

12V to 240V inverter discontinuous output

BradtheRad, and Ogu, some mosfets exploded (0) (0) .. I'll have to replace them. Hope everything will be working after replacement. See pics. I think that they exploded due to absence of heat sink, or maybe somethng shorted from underneath. Tonight I will go and...

12V to 240V inverter discontinuous output

The inverter seems to be a modified sine wave. Its make is DAK, a Chinese manufacture. Yesterday I tested it with a relatively power full fan although I'm sure it was nothing near 500W. The result of the first few minutes of operation can be shown in the video below...

12V to 240V inverter discontinuous output

Oki I will check as soon as i get the inverter and let you know. Is it best if I check the output when the inverter is loaded? If it is a pure sine wave inverter is there a possible fix?

12V to 240V inverter discontinuous output

Hi, I need to repair a 12V to 240V 1500W inverter connected to a 500W water pump. Lately I am hearing that the pump is not working smoothly as it should. It seems the current is not continuous and smooth. The pump can be heard changing speed sharply in short instants. I will give more...

Earth Pole DC Motor (No Magnets, No Stator)

Hi, this is an Earth Pole DC motor which I built. It is an improved version of an earlier prototype I submitted a while back on this forum. This time the polarity on the armature is shifted accordingly (+/-12V) instead of simply switching ON and Off. The Unit is first aligned towards the North...

Magnet-less DC Motor using the Earth's Magnetic field as a stator :)

50 to 60 times is a little bit impossible.. but if you find a way to increase the contact area on the upper terminal .. you could increase it to 10 times a second perhaps.
