    Logarithmic Digital Potentiometer

I got MAX5407 as single channel in 8-SOT package, even though it is 32-tap. Thanks

    Logarithmic Digital Potentiometer

Thanks for the information. Is there any single channel available?

    Logarithmic Digital Potentiometer

Hello, Has anyone worked with Logarithmic digital pots. I have worked with Ds1804-100 which is a 100Kohm non-volatile digital pot. Since this is a linear one, I have problem when controlling audio volume. So I am thinking of changing it to Logarithmic one and I found MAX5407 as an ideal one...

    BFSK implementation with two oscillators

Yea, I understand the advantages of differential lines. Thanks for the valuable suggestions.

    BFSK implementation with two oscillators

Thanks. But I dont have much analog understanding to measure out jitter and all. At receiving end I can hardly recognize FSK plunged in some noise signals.

    BFSK implementation with two oscillators

Yes, The idea is to send the audio as analog and the data together in a single cable. And data as FSK just above audible frequencies. I used 74HC4046A, eventhough it has some frequency drift over time. With driving section it transmit the FSK with around 350mV rms. Output has an isolation...

    BFSK implementation with two oscillators

Thank you Brian for your valuable suggestions. Let me check the feasibility of implementing these.

    BFSK implementation with two oscillators

My aim is to send both voice and fskdata in a single twisted pair cable. So I decided fsk above audible range, thereby center freq around 30KHz. It may travel more than a mile to reach another node. - - - Updated - - - Thanks Brian for the better idea. I think that will eliminate any need of...

    BFSK implementation with two oscillators

30KHz-33KHz and switching rate is 2400bps

    BFSK implementation with two oscillators

Thanks Jiripolivka and Brian. I understand it as the ContinuousPhaseFSK. I already tried TI's CD74HC4046. But the frequency is not found stable for TSSOP package. I had a prototype with DIP package and that worked quite fine. Also in datasheet, 0.11%/degreeC drift is mentioned. Anyone know any...

    BFSK implementation with two oscillators

Hello, Can I generate BinaryFSK with two different oscillators (one for mark frequency and other for space) switching with analog switch or multiplexer? How about the switching noise? Thanks

    [SOLVED] Level shifter for communication

My communication involves several nodes which communicates with FSK. Suppose all nodes are set to 30/33kHz. If one node's set frequency drifts (around 1.5KHz change by ambient temperature, it happens in my case with TSSOP package..! With DIP package it is fine), then detection(with XR2211) is...

    [SOLVED] Level shifter for communication

Hi Klaus, For the FSK modulator I need two frequencies for low and high states (only two states). 74HC4046 output frequency depends on the VCOin voltage. For me I have already tested it and it generates 30KHz for 0V and 33KHz for 3.3V. And I can even communicate successfully by using XR2211...

    [SOLVED] Level shifter for communication

Thanks Klaus. But strange to the term regulation loop. I am planning to add a resistor network such as the attached which I hope will do the needful. Please comment. Thanks

    [SOLVED] Level shifter for communication

I am using CD74HC4046A. Please see the attached Datasheet Images, which says VCOin ranges.
