mobile signal booster
hi,
I am living on a low reception area, so signal reception is bad, anybody have idea to increse strength of mobile signals reception and transmission ?

via EPIA board is good for embedded design, it has lot of support for linux and its cheap( ~100$) and its mini-ITX , u can load its bios with linuxbios and linux on DiskOnChip IDE flash or usb memory stick . another good board is netsilicon net + arm processor board...

Dallas have a serial eprom chip, i think its ds2505. it has a unique serial no: on it, for protecting your firmware u can easily attach this serial eprom with your design and the eprom is one time programmable, by simply adding this functionality to your design...

I am planning to build a long wire master slave communcation system with less no: of wires . that i need around 2 km distance with many slave systems ( < 128). my question is which protocol is best suited for this system and welcomes design ideas ,circuits...
