iar keil
I am using Keil for ARM 7 it is best tool for ARM7.
But when it comes to ARM9 and others advanced ARM core keil has very limited support for them.
One thing I want to tell you is IAR for ARM is quite costly than Keil for ARM.
So choise depends on application to application for ARM7 I...
bluetooth interface to microcontroller

my personal opinion is NORTON it is very good ...it slows down system but
with recent very high speed processors it doesnt look like a prob..
rest is very good...
Re: RS232 problem
yes ....you can connect this but make sure that rx from PC should go to TX of micro and vice versa and you need UART-RS232 level conevertor to match the voltage levels.
MAX233 can be used but at 5.0V for 3.3 V MAX3232 or equivalent can be used

can you pls tell me you are not able to execute means what and if possible tell me steps are you following in programming .
In GNU toolchain you need to configure lot of the things PLL, MAM,Stacks for various modes , finally you should work in User mode.
Keil does all these things for you ...in...

LPC 214x are having inbuilt bootloader so no need to go for Ulink if you want this only to download code into internal flash but not for debug.

I am using 3 V Batteries ....I have tried with same board I made 15 Boards in that 5 are working and only problem is -ve Reg voltage is not generating
I am using MAX3222 as UART -RS232 convertor ..
I am using stanserd ckt given in the datasheet but it is not generating -ve ref voltage .
I have made lot of boards some of them are working but not everyone.
I am using charge pump caps of 100nf ihave tried with 1uf non polarised cap but not...

In my application I have to replace the PSTN Modem by my device which wil send the data wirelessly to another Device which will send the data into PC.
