Requirements for Coupling Two (or more) Inductors

Thanks for the recommendation! They are not completely on the unrelated parts but my primary purpose is reducing the volume. Though it is not possible to completely eliminate the coupling effect on the inductors wound around the same core, there are ways to reduce it.

Requirements for Coupling Two (or more) Inductors

An example is coupled inductor extension of Cuk converter (I cannot provide a schematic right now but it is availble in his paper "Advances in Switched-Mode Power Conversion Part II" under the subtitle "THE IDEAL ZERO-RIPPLE SWITCHING DC-TO-DC CONVERTER"). Here Slobodan Cuk couples two inductors...

Requirements for Coupling Two (or more) Inductors

Hello everyone, What are the preconditions in order to couple inductors in a switching converter? I have two inductors in my circuit and I want to couple them for saving space and reduce the weight. I know that "waveforms should be the same", but which waveforms? What about volt.seconds? Can...

    LEM LTS-06NP Current Transducer Problem

I have a few LTS-06NP current transducers and I'm having trouble about the wiring (I think) First of all I supplied the output circuitry with 5 Volts and checked the output giving 2.5 Volts. It looks all fine. Then I placed a wire going through the hole and carrying the current that I set and...

Solar MPPT Charger for Li-Ion Battery

Thank you for your suggestions. If I do not use an extra diode for protection, does this mean that MPP voltage automatically equalized to the battery voltage and I should not fear about where the MPP is? I am still not sure if the current can flow through the diode when the battery voltage is...

Solar MPPT Charger for Li-Ion Battery

We are building a PV system on our electric car and we decided to mount three 30W panels that are placed in different tilt angles due to car geometry. I thought that since each panel will produce a different amount of power, it would be better to build three MPPT controllers and connect their...

    MOSFET Driver Problem

I start to supply the driver by a totally different power source that includes a transformer. Hence, I thought that using an opto-isolator is unnecessary and bought TC4427 which is directly connected between the arduino PWM output and MOSFET gate. This time I placed the MOSFET on the high-side...

    MOSFET Driver Problem

oh, wait... the mosfet is on the low-side. channels of the oscilloscope don't need to be isolated since their reference probes should be connected to the same node. the source is already connected to the ground of the circuit... it is not working...

    MOSFET Driver Problem

Yes, I use differential probes. I did not mention it before, sorry. You made me think about oscilloscope channels... Probably the channels are not isolated; I hope they are not! I am going to test it next week with two oscilloscopes that supplied from different isoaltion transformers (just in case!)

    MOSFET Driver Problem

Didn't work but thanks. When I say load voltage, I mean load voltage; the voltage between the terminals of the resistor. The probe is between the positive terminal of the Vi and the drain of the MOSFET. It is not turning off because the screen must have shown a signal with a 20V peak voltage...

    MOSFET Driver Problem

Actually I tried to identify the traces by the file name but it is not appeared as I thought :) I don't have Vds screen but I have the load voltage. 1st channel is load voltage and second one is Vgs.

    MOSFET Driver Problem

Thank you first of all... 1) The driver return and source are really connected... 2) I am driving the LED with its rated current. At first I started with a much lower collector resistance but the result was 7 Vpp PWM with +7Vdc offset. Then I increased the collector resistance and 1kOhm is the...

    MOSFET Driver Problem

Hello everyone, I was going to build a buck converter today but -knowing the difficulties of high-side driving- I thought it is better to just drive the MOSFET in the low-side with just a resistive load for exercise. But I failed... I am producing my PWM signal by an Arduino microcontroller...
