optimization with ie3d
Hi
I am simulating a bandpass filter with IE3D9.0. During the optimization with the gap between the coupled resonator cells, ther are much difference between the trend and what I want with the curves of s21 and s11. Total three parameters need to be optimized, which are...
Thank you for all your suggestions.
Akedar, Would you please give me some information in detail?

parallel-coupled stripline
Hi
I am simulating a parallel coupled bandpass filter with stripline structure in ADS2004A, but I can't find parallel coupled stripline with only 2 ports for the filter design.
The picture has been attached .
So, How can I realize the component of the parallel...
Re: how to simulate a lambda/4 SIR bandpass filter in cpw st
Thank you for your suggestion, Jian
Sorry for my late words because of my trip.
I will try immediately.
Re: how to simulate a lambda/4 SIR bandpass filter in cpw st
Jian,Thank you very much for your patient analysis.
Would you please offer me some examples or tutorials in IE3D or Ansoft Designer? It seem to me that I am not familiar with the design of the bandpass filters. Would you please...
Re: how to simulate a lambda/4 SIR bandpass filter in cpw st
Jian, thank you for your suggestion.
I want to obtain the structural parameters in the figure attached as a unit of the series resonators by simulations. So I need to set the input and output ports for simulation in IE3D or Ansoft...
Hi
I am implemanting the paper(IEEE MTT-S Digest) "λ/4 stepped impedance resonator bandpass filters fabricated on coplanar waveguide." I meet with a trouble in simulation one resonator section of a bandpass filter in cpw structure, which is shown in the figure.
I want to konw how to set the...
Hi everyone
I have a question in simulating a two-port microstrip network in IE3D.
The lossless simulation should be done because the zero real parts of the Y-parameters of the ports are needed. Now I want to know which parameters should be set in the IE3D to obtain the result that I need. I...
Re: How to simulate a microstrip gap with such a reference p
Hi manju
Thank you for your advice, I will download the free version of the Sonnet EM simuation and try it as soon as quickly.

Re: How to simulate a microstrip gap with such a reference p
Thank you manju for your elaborate response.
I find that shift reference plane is also available in IE3D and maybe the S parameters get errors because of deembedding. Can you tell me about How to realize this with IE3D.
flywke
The Figure shows a layout of a microstrip gap for EM simulation, where arrows indicate the reference planes for de-embedding to obtain the two-port Y parameters of the microstrip gap.
what I want to konw is that which EM simulation tool can do this work and whether
IE3D can do it. Can anyone...
