Im trying to test this frequency mixer (ADE-2ASK), and I have a couple of questions (My major isnt electrical engineering, so you may find them funny). I tried to test it using a signal generator. I feed the LO and RF inputs with 1mhz and 2mhz signals and I expected to see a signal...
yeah I used the coupling caps and the 50ohm resistor according to its datasheet. Now that I observe the output signal closely I can see that the 8Mhz signal is always there, being added to the output signal. Just when the input signal is connected to ground the signal is gone.

I'm setting up a prescaler IC and I'm using MC12022SLB. Everything seems to be working very well. But when the input pin of the IC is not connected, there is an output wave around (3-8 MHz) on the oscilloscope. I dont know where this frequency is coming from? Any clue?

I see what you are saying. I will make a PCB for test. And I will search for a GHz bandwidth oscillator. Do you have any idea how to test my circuit without the help of GHz oscilloscopes? Because I don't have access to one.
I'm reporting real measurements. I don't have any problem with simulation since I have another oscillator design the works properly with simulation but in practice it doesn't even start to oscillate.
